The Carteret County Amateur Radio Society (CCARS) welcomes you to our little part of the net.

The area's analog repeaters continue to operate:
K4GRW Newport Repeater: 145.450 (-) / W3ENK Newport Repeater: 444.825 (+)
KD4KTO Stacy Repeater: 444.000 (+) temporarily out of service

Our regular club meeting is normally held on the fourth Saturday of each month (except December) at Cox's Family Restaurant on Highway 70 (4109 Arendell St.) in Morehead City. We meet for breakfast at 8:00 am, with the meeting getting underway promptly at 8:30. Please park your car in the parking lot behind the barber shop and enter through the door on the east side of the building.

Meeting scheduled for May 23rd will be held on line using Zoom technology. Sterling is emailing the login information to our membership shortly. If you need login assistance, email pete@petewenk.com.

License Testing is conducted on the 4th Saturday of every odd month in Morehead City

The next testing session scheduled for May 23rd has been cancelled due to Corona Virus. Our plan is to schedule a special testing session as soon as possible after NC moves into Phase 2 reopening. Please email pete@petewenk.com if you are interested in being tested when date/time is established.

Walk-ins are welcome.

We conduct our tests immediately following our regular monthly meeting. Please join the meeting and learn what amateur radio is all about. We meet in the back room of the restaurant for breakfast at 8:00, with the meeting getting underway at 8:30. We're usually ready to start testing by about 9:15. Park your car in the lot behind the barber shop and enter through the back door.
