The Carteret County Amateur Radio Society (CCARS) welcomes you to our little part of the net.

Our new digital repeater is on the air:
W4YMI Digital (DMR) Repeater - 444.975 Mhz (+), Color Code 1
The area's analog repeaters continue to operate:
K4GRW Newport Repeater: 145.450 (-) / WO3F Newport Repeater: 444.825 (+)

Our regular club meeting is normally held on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Normally, meetings are held on the 4th Saturday at the

Golden Corral Restaurant, Hwy 70 W, Morehead City.

NOTE: the Golden Corral suffered damage from Hurricane Florence, and as of September 29th

was closed for repairs. We anticipate that the restaurant will re-open in time for the October

meeting, but we urge you to check back with the website in the event that we are

forced to meet at an alternate location.

The October meeting will be on the 27th.

Breakfast begins at 8:00 am, the meeting begins at 8:30 am.


License Testing is conducted on the 3rd Saturday of every odd month in Morehead City

We passed three upgrades during our special September 29th testing session.

Congratulations to Dave Lessner (X), Raymond Mosbey (X) and David Freeley (G).

The next testing session will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

Walk-ins are welcome. However, if you notify us first we will

be sure to have enough donuts for everyone!

Tests are conducted at the First Presbyterian Church, Arendell St. in Morehead City

We get underway at 09:00 am sharp.
